Dear Etan,
Firstly I would like to mention how much I appreciate your help and all the information and experience you are sharing with us, it is invaluable.
I would be more than happy if you help me with the stuation I am currently stucked in with Panel Bass Traps.
I have just discovered this forum and I went through some of the topics about Panel Bass Traps and discovered that I am going in the wrong direction as I am trying to build these traps in a small sized room (approx. 130 square feet).
In one of the topics you mentioned that these panel traps are useful for larger rooms. Unfortunately, I missed that information and already purchased the materials to build these traps.
I am confused and I can't go forward without knowing what to do?I do not want to waste my time and money and do something wrong? I would appreciate your help very much.
My Room acoustic treatment plan: This is my room plan and coloured boxes are panel bass traps where i plan to install them.
* Please note that instead of fiberglass I have Acoustic Mineral Wool (AMW, i think it is also known as Rockwool)at different thicknesses 100mm and 50mm.
My Questions; ============ 1. Is Acoustic Mineral Wool (Rockwool) as effective as rigid fiberglass in this formula?
2. Does half size traps (2' x 4') instead of (2' x 8') has the same effectiveness absorbing low frequencies? Or as the vibration decreases absorbtion also decreases?
3. Like the application in Realtraps; Instead of screwing these traps directly on the wall, can I close the back side with another plywood or something else, thus making it air tight and stick it on to the wall for easy attaching and removing since I do not own the place? How much effectiveness would i loose? (I know your short answer is No on this, but what is your long answer, if you want to answer)
4. You mentioned in some topics that in small rooms you would prefer to build broadband bass traps instead of panel traps. Now that I puchased required materials should I continue to setup those traps and also add broadband absorbers as well? or go to other direction? How can i build broadband traps with these materials in hand?
5. You have mentioned that smaller rooms need broader absorbers. As far as I undrestand these traps cover the whole low frequency range (deep bass panel for lower freq. and high bass panels for higher bass frequencies) so what makes you say that we need broadband absorbers in smaller rooms? a. Is it the opportunity cost that makes you say that? Meaning; it doesn't do as good as it should if you consider the time, money and space used? or is it something else?
6. If I were to install all these traps what would happen? Would it do any bad or good? As they only cover the half of the rear and front wall should I cover the other half with broader absorbers?
I can't go forward without knowing what to do? I wanna start recording my music as soon as possible and I would appreciate your help very much. Many thanks for your time, I respect it so much.

the rockwool should be fine. make the traps 2'x8' if you can. ideally you should plan on using broadband absorption and then once you have room measurements made, build additional traps as needed depending on the trouble frequencies. that said, using a number of different panel traps mid/low/deep low then you are probably ok from that standpoint but you'll still want some absorption for high frequencies to control reflection points and slap echoes.

Thanka you Glen,
I went through lots of information and figured out what to do. As it is a small sized room I am going to use Acoustic Mineral Wool(AMW) and build broadband absorbers. Simply fill up most of the corners with Acoustic Mineral Wool (Rockwool - 100mm and 200mm (double 100mm) and for the rest of the room such as front/rear/side walls, cover 100mm AMW with a cloth (possibly Muslin) and hang them to certain places. I will post the pictures of my setup once I have finished.
Many thanks for all your help finally I know what to do.

Glenn already gave you the right answers, and I'll handle this one:
Instead of screwing these traps directly on the wall, can I close the back side with another plywood or something else, thus making it air tight and stick it on to the wall for easy attaching and removing since I do not own the place?
Yes, but the back must be thick and rigid. If you use 3/4 inch plywood or MDF that will be fine.
