Does anyone actually read the original posts around here?

The question is not coolest guitar but coolest ARTIST SIGNATURE guitar.

The top contenders, in my estimate, are:
Shawn Lane // Vigier Shawn Lane Master signature
Adrian Belew // Parker Fly Adrian Belew signature model (piezo, MIDI, sustainer)
Paul Gilbert // Ibanez PGM301
Rick Derringer // Warrior Rick Derringer signature Isabella
Reb Beach // John Suhr
Allan Holdsworth // Carvin H2 and HF2 signature models
Guthrie Govan // John Suhr Guthrie Govan signature
Yngwie Malmsteen // Fender Y. Malnsteen signature strat

FYI, Les Pauls don't even come close to any of the above in the "COOLEST" category. Ha!

I voting for the Ernie Ball EVH model...

I passed on a used one similar to this for about $900 about 10 years ago. I still regret it!!!

Also like the 1st Joe Perry Les Paul...

Signature model guitars are, IMO, the guitaristic equivalent of a "Dukes of Hazzard" or "Hello Kitty" lunchbox. Just plain silly, except that mfrs. charge beaucoup bucks for them. You may quote me.
