Sorry if this is old news, but I ordered Bass Player through a QSP/Reader' Digest school magazine fund raiser and was notified that the subscription was cancelled. I was told by QSP that they were notified by the publisher that both Bass Player and Guitar Player are ceasing monthly publications. What's the deal? Is this bogus information or are they moving entirely to the web?

I haven't gotten anything since last month. I've been wondering myself.

I, too, was confused when I stopped by my favorite bookstore before moving and got a cup of coffee but couldn't find the current issue to flip through.

I hope not. My wife was a dear and ordered me Guitar Player for Christmas. I am looking forward to getting that.

Guys, we're here. Everything is fine. Bass Player and Guitar Player are not going away.
However, Guitar World's Bass Guitar and Guitar One ceased publication a few months back. Perhaps there's some confusion between the magazines.
Bill

Thanks, Bill.
Keep up the good work. I have enjoyed the last couple of issues in general.

Thanks for the info. I did have a Guitar world's Bass guitar magazine then it started getting substituted with Guitar World instead. I then switched to Bass Player. I'm glad it happened because Bass Player is a far better magazine IMHO.

I'm somewhat confused to say that I seem to have become bored of BP magazine! I think it's just me, the quality doesn't appear to have dropped in any way...

It's kinda sad but I started getting that way awhile back. Iused to read the articles and glance over the ads unless something caught my eye but now it's the other way around. It's kinda like muting the TV shows and listening to the commercials.

...but wouldn't you miss it if you didn't get your fix every month!

We shall see... The gear reviews are particularly of no interest to me nowadays since I've gone so esoteric/custom with my choices!

Glad to know BP isn't going away. I just mailed a check for a 2-year subscription not more than a couple of weeks ago!
Can't wait for the February issue. I myself am not at all bored with this magazine. It's the only one I care to subscribe to (well, and my state's free conservation mag).

Argh noooo. I've only just started on my 2x10 design. I'm stuck on whether I'm actually going to need a tweeter for what I'm going to use it for.

It's a shame there isn't another quality Bass mag. No disrespect to BP, but quality time in the throne room could be enhanced by another option.
