First of all, I'm glad you liked it! It was really fun to do at this end. After hearing the streamed version, I'd like to re-cut the audio to exaggerate what listeners hear to make it more obvious. I think as long as people understand this is designed to illustrate a principle behind a mastering technique, I don't think they'd mind.
This thread is as good a place to ask questions as any. I think there were a LOT of questions left unanswered when we ran out of time, so here's a chance to ask them. Also, there were some great additions and comments from the participants as well, so more of those are always welcome.
If you have any suggestions on how the start should be handled so people don't have doubts about it, that would be helpful.
I must say that based on the questions this was a very knowledgeable crowd, and those that weren't were sincerely interested in learning. Very cool!
