Hello,

Hopefully you can help me restore my sanity here. I recall reading an article within the last 2 - 3 months and I'm about 90% sure it was in EQ. It was an interview with a band member whose bandname I cannot recall. The article/interview talked alot about the writing process, etc. The guitar player seemed to be the main creative engine in the band as it seemed that he wrote all of the songs and handled the production as well. I believe the article even had a link to a current concert recording clip. One specific thing about the article that sticks in my mind is that the interviewer asked where the name of the band came from and the interviewee said he never discloses the origins of the name, even the other band members don't know.

Ever since I read the article and listened to the clip I've been meaning to buy some of the material from the band. However, I can't remember the name of the band and it's driving me crazy. Hopefully some of this triggers your memory better than mine and you can name the band. One curious thing that may or may not help -- while I was reading the article I somehow had the band confused with Portishead and I kept wondering why they never mentioned the girl in the article. Obviously the band was not Portishead, but perhaps the name started with a 'P'.
