Hey Guys,
Love Guitar Player. Been reading it forever and it's been a priceless source of inspiration and information.

When it comes to the "Oeuvre Easy" column...I've got to say that I've found more than one album that I think is GREAT listed in the "tired" section. But never have I been so outraged until now that School's Out has been put in that category! Having a "tired" category is lame to begin with, but School's Out is a classic among classic's, full of pure genius. It is at times hard rockin', funky, jazzy, incredibly orchestrated complete with...if I may use the word...inspired composition and smokin' playing from top to bottom. When one truly listens to this album, by the time it's finished you should feel like you have taken an amazing trip, one that deserves revisiting.

MY STARS.....RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Barry...

All of this stuff is totally subjective, and my opinion may not be yours. It certainly isn't regarding SCHOOL'S OUT. I accept that, and I don't ever claim to have the final word on anything -- it's just MY opinion.

Oeuvre Easy has been one of GP's more popular features throughout 2007, from the standpoint that it always generates a lot of comment and controversy -- which is good. It's great to have committed and impassioned players getting on the forums and discussing music.

We love the debates!

And there are no losers, either, as all of these discussions likely point readers back to the music to form their own opinions, whether they've never heard the tracks in question, wish to reacquaint themselves with songs they haven't heard in a while, or are inspired to further study music they are quite familiar with.

So...

Thanks for caring enough to write in, and make your points.

Cheers,
Mike
