I was reading here (somewhere) on this board about the Epson printers. I tried the search, but couldn't find it. I thought I would give a few tips just in case they have not been covered already. In the back of these printers, you will see a small door secured with a small phillips screw. Remove that door and you will see a small tube. That tubing is the drain from when the printer does its cleaning cycle. The excess ink drains into a piece of felt. To avoid saturating the felt, get a small coupler at a hobby store and a long piece of tubing, and let the ink drain into a small bottle. I use the continuious inking system where you have 6 large bottles of ink and 6 small lines that go to where your normal cartridges would go.
Another tip is that these printers have a memory, and one day soon you will get all 3 lights blinking and the printer will not work. There is a law suit about this against Epson. This memory computes the "cleaning cycles" and determines that your printer needs service even tho it doesn't. There are chips available that over ride this funtion.
Hope you find this info usefull
