I just got a renewal bill in the mail for Keyboard Magazine. Before I write the check, I want to make sure if these are really the people handling subscriptions these days;

First Premier Subscriber Services, Inc.
191 University Blvd. #821
Denver, CO 80206-4613

It struck me as kind of odd that there are no Music Player or Keyboard Mag logos anywhere on the envelope or bill. Pardon me if I seem paranoid, but I remember not long ago there was some sort of scam with false subscription collectors. \:o

If this is legit, I'll go ahead and pay up, but I just want to be sure. Thanks!

DO NOT TAKE A CHANCE!!!!! Too many people report issues of fraud with things like this. Go online to musicplayer.com and renew directly from the website. It's the safest way and will give you peace of mind.

Thanks for the post, and I'm very sorry for the renewal trouble. The problem is that we're experiencing a rash of scams recently, including some by telephone.

Here are three simple things to refer to when you receive a renewal notice or phone call:

1. If they ask you to make your check out to anything other than just "Keyboard", it's a scam!

2. If the mailing address is anything other than PO Box 9158, Lowell MA 01853, it's a scam! If the address is in dayton, OH, it's our former subscription service, and you should send the invoice and check to the address in MA: PO Box 9158, Lowell MA 01853.

3. If anyone calls you to renew your subscription or to start a new one, it's a scam!

I'll post this elsewhere and print it in the mag, too.
