After a little heart attack right before last Christmas I suddenly came to the realization that after 35 years of putting it off I should actually do what I have wanted all my life. RECORD MY OWN MUSIC.

So I started a little online collaboration with a bass player in Seatle (I am in the midwest), and we collaborate via the internet.

Well we have finished up the first of what I hope to be many more disc's of music. It is all instrumental and free so this is not any kind of sales pitch.

The site is The Dejunair Project, I am McStrum and if you are thinking about recording, writing or getting back into music if you quit for a time, DO IT! I realized layin in that hospital that the Guitar is my life, my job is what I do while I am not making music.

All of the current songs were written by me and all parts were played by myself and MrBouncy. We are currently working on new material that I am happy to say is not all written by me. We are also talking to a few other musicians who have expressed interest in the project.

Anyone involved has to provide their parts in track form for mixing later. I have a small home studio setup that I am constantly working on and tweaking. Currently trying to use only free and/or open source software for any digital work but some apps I am willing to pay for just because of ease of use at this time. A complete list of gear is on the site with pictures posted in the near future.

Well first off your story is great. I think its great you've found your passion and I wish you all the best. I listened to some of the songs on your site and like them alot.
