As a winner in the emasters free one-song mastering session, I just wanted to drop you a note of thanks. Emasters did a wonderful job on my tune. It sounds great. I teach sound recording at a junior college in Texas, and I've been able to play the tracks for my students, to let them hear the real difference mastering can make.
A hearty thanks to EQ and emasters. It's a thrill hearing one of my tunes "done right."

Just wanted to write a big THANKYOU to all at EQ mag and all the competition winners for the opportunity given to us to master such a wide variety of music!
If we had to pick a favourite track...we couldn't, though a possible top 3 (in no particular order...) would be Those Dreaded Gnats - "Merry F'n Xmas" for its drunken humour, the below James Stoddard's track "Night Boys" for its Neil Young vs Dire Straits vibe, and Nan Michaels' "Feed The Kangaroos", with what must surely be the most peculiar chorus to a love song ever recorded...but we loved it!
Of course that's not to forget the other winners, and thing that most impressed us was the quality of production on the mixes - out of all the tracks we mastered there was nothing we wanted to change in the mix in order to get a better result, which is a massive credit to those involved in the production process on all the tracks.
Also thanks belatedly to EQ for the article, it definitely put across our overall mastering ethos very well so thanks for not over-editing!
