Looking for old April Fool's Day equipment review

Many years ago, probably in the early 90s, there was a bass amp review in the April issue that was an April Fool's Day joke. I have always remembered it because when I first saw it (skimming through late at night, not paying close attention) I was a little puzzled, but didn't realize it was a joke. When I re-read it later in a better frame of mind, it totally cracked me up. The basic premise was that the reviewer was mistakenly assuming that the back of the amp was the front, and then complaining about the indistinct sound and various ergonomic issues with the control panel. I would love to see this again but I no longer have my old back issues, and I don't know what year it was from. I searched on Google hoping someone else might have posted something about it, but no luck.

Has anyone noticed the April Fool's joke(s) in THIS month's BP? I like the super-light weight amp!

That was a good one from back in the day where we would actually spend a couple of pages of the issue for a joke. Times have changed and we have smaller items, like joke CD reviews, news, or new gear items.

The review of the Western Sound Serial Killer Combo appeared in the April '97 issue (Jason Newsted cover). Enjoy it. Looking back at it, it is a laugh.
