Ok, I've got a Microverb4 rack unit. Gotta be 15 years old. I'm sure the technology has produced much better units today. I'm looking at the low end "Lexicon mx200" etc. $200 range. This is going to be used for PA vocals. I read some reviews and it was mixed. Some didn't like the reverbs on the lexicon at all. I was surprised that the Behringer got good reviews for sound but quality, not so much (not surprised). Then the TC Electronics M350 had mixed reviews as well, some said nice and quiet others said it was noisey. So what's your experience / advice.
Thanks,
Denny

I wouldn't bet on it.

FWIW, here's a little tip on using reverb in a live setting. It was shown to me by a guy who helped develop the first graphic EQ back in the 60s. Rather than run the reverb thru the house system and have it follow the voice thru the house PA, pick up a couple of speakers (and a stereo amp to drive them), hang them at the rear of the room, then run just the reverb thru them. Absolutely great way to do it, especially if you have a stereo signal available from the rev unit, as that's the way natural reverb is normally perceived.

I tried out the Lexicon at G.C. (after it took them 20min. to get it hooked up) anyway it was kinda hard to really get a good idea of how it sounded. So yesterday after doing some reasearch on the web, I did some tweaking to my setup and the Microverb sounds pretty good. I think you might be right McGeoff.

I recently let go of an old rack Ibanez echo unit (DG100 maybe).

I've been having some 'warbling' from this & felt it was unreliable, so a friend bought it.

However, while I was testing it I ran it through the FX loop and it was just fine - no warbling at all. Incidentally the manual suggests that putting it in front of the amp is best. is yours through the preamp or the FX loop?

TC Helicon produces a great harmony box. I know because I own one. But as far as their reverb, I can't say.
