Hello,

2007 will mark the reunion of 2 major bands in music history...
The Police and Van Halen.
Both Andy Summers and Edward Van Halen have earned their place in the guitar innovators pantheon. Not only because their playing was ( still is )a milestone in guitar history, but technically and gear-wise, they did so much for the industry. (not to mention that Bob Bradshaw was intrumental in their guitar rigs)
I was wondering if Guitar Player magazine will do a story on both of these breathetaking guitarists...

Thank you.

I enjoyed the story, too. Andy Summers always had a strong musical personality... a mind of his own.

I just bought a Police Greatest Hits CD (not sure of the actual title) and really enjoyed it. Those tunes stand the test of time well. And I always liked the "Golden Wire".

It's a good reminder that you can be commercially successful by being creative, at least in the '80s. Hopefully it's still true today ... assuming you can get heard!
