Editors,

Just wanted to thank you for two things in particular in the February issue (just rec'd it this week).

1. The obituary for forum moderator, bassist, and educator Dave Brown. He was a great one and meant a lot to many of us on the forum.

2. The article on James Genus. I get to see James play every once in a while around NYC, and it was really nice to read more about him.

Peace.

+1 on the kind words for Dave Brown.

Got this issue today!

I agree wholeheartedly with both Sweet Willie's points. Good to read Dave's obituary in BP and I've loved james Genus' playing for a long time!

Thanks for the feedback, guys. Dave Brown really helped a lot of people on this board and just seemed like a wonderful presence here. We'll miss him, but at least we still have some of the best forumites anyone could ask for.

And, Tom, got any ideas about other goodies we should NEVER cover?

Best,

The Dave Brown part was nice, I appreciate putting Mark Hoppus in there, although technically he is not the best, he inspired me to pick up a bass. (Although not the best person to learn from)
