ever since ive been reading BASSPLAYER
(how long ago was special issue #2?1989?
i bought my first bass and my first bass mag the same day.
the bass was a red SQUIRE BULLETBASS and the lessons in the mag where half incomprehensible
you go back and look at the atical on techniques and see if you can make sence of the sweep picking exercise or some of the other things there...talked about it,gave an example but didnt explain how to do it...oops
but i digress... )
as i was about to say
please put the words to songs with the music
as a bassist who sings and even when im not singing the song i find it much easier to learn when i have the words on the page for a reference point.
and it does help immeasurably to have them if its a song i do want to sing because as im practicing the bass line ill have the words going thru my head too.
having the one thing helps the other.
it doesnt really take up that much more space to add the lyrics to the music and tab.
and no you dont need to add a separate staff with the vocal melody written on it,just the words is all we need
(well some of us do anyway)
keep up the good work
and STAY LOW BABY!
