I'm sure Bass player are bracing themselves for more complaints about yet another cover story on Les Claypool. Last time Billy Sheehan was on the cover was 13 years ago and there have only been minor features on him since. About time for the magazine to catch up with him, I think.

Dave,
Yeah, we sorta struggled with doing another big Les story, but the fact is he just has a LOT going on right now that seemed to warrant more coverage.
As far as Billy goes, we tried a few times to get something happening last year, but it fell through for various reasons. We're looking forward to doing a bunch with him at Bass Player Live, though, and I'm sure some of that will show up in the magazine.
