Maybe I'm in the wrong forum. Where are the "Sound Examples" referred to in any of the magazine's lessons?? I asked this question in the other bass player forum, got no reply after two days.

Hi Skeez,
If there is an icon in the print edition indicating a sound file on our website, the sounds should accompany the online version. Is there one that you're looking for in particular?

Hi, I am looking for the sound files for Hussain Jiffry's lesson "The Samba Feel of Bossa Nova". In the lesson, it says "Hear it on the website" but I can't seem to find it!

Seems that John Harvey and I have the same question. There are no icons in the print version, just the "close" x. Where are the sound examples??? I posted this quesion in the other forum about 2 weeks ago and got 0 replies. Doesn't anyone read the magazine??? Does anyone follow what's written???

The issues are usually posted around the beginning of the month's issue date. In this case, the August issue was posted a couple of days before August began.
In the case of the Hussain Jiffy lesson, the person who records the sound files, Technical Editor Jonathan Herrera, is out of the office. We'll post the files as soon as we can get them up.
And skeez, if you need to reach us editors, your best chance for a response is to either email us directly (each staffer's contact info is on the site) or post here in the Editor's Office forum. These kinds of issues are precisely why we added the Office. If we goof, just leave a friendly note, we'll do our best to make it right.

Good stuff - I was looking for the files also and understand the delays.
I know you guys at the magazine wonder about the impact of your articles.
I'm rather new to the bass and work way too much at my real job. I haven't progressed as much as I'd like since purchasing my bass but with a Brazilian wife and dreams to retire to Brazil, lessons like this - simplified and explained in such a manner as presented - well, I'm thankful for your efforts.
Keep up the good work - keep it simple of us beginners.

I have the same question too, I also like to get the sound example of SAMBA FEEL of BOSSA NOVA since it said "HEAR IT ONLINE". By the way, i think BP maybe put more sound samples of lessons on the web in the future issues, it can help us beginners more understand the lesson.

Hey guys, I was looking for this too. I took lessons with Hussain this summer on Samba playing. I can assure you that the samples will be worth listening to.
I wrote a report on my lesson with Hussain on this thread with some links to examples of Hussain's playing.
I look forward to hearing the clips in question. Maybe I'll try to contact Jonathon.

I apologize for the delays. We had some intra-office confusion. Anyway, the files are up now. This situation has improved our file upload system, so expect to hear stuff online much sooner. Dino, I'm sorry you feel that way. It's of course exactly the opposite of the way we truly feel.

Thank you Jonathan, i just want to urge any BP editor can make some response to this problem since this issue was not solved at that time, anyway, thank you very much.
I think many readers, especially beginners like me, will be happy to get online sound samples of paragraphes in the lesson (if there is no song can be referenced) in the future issues, thank you again.
