Recently, there was an article on Tim Commerford in Bass Player Mag where he mentioned a drummer he grew up with named Jon Knox and that he wanted to get in touch with him. Both Tim and Zach (RATM) and Jon had a band while they were in high school back in Irvine, CA.

I cannot find this magazine article. Could you link me to the article or tell me how to get in touch with the writer. Jon Knox is my uncle.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey,

I wrote Bass Player's article on Tim Commerford, in the July issue. We didn't mention your uncle.

But Guitar World's Bass Guitar magazine did, in its Tim Commerford feature in their July/August 2005 issue.

Hi Nizzy,

We recently featured Tim in our July issue. I just re-read the story and found no mention of Jon Knox is the story. He might have been mentioned in Guitar World's Bass Guitar magazine's cover story interview with Tim.

Any chance that was the same Jon Knox who played in White Heart from @ 1990-1994? And also with Adam Again? If so, he was great! But I don't know where he is now. If not, well, he shares a name with a nice guy.
