I am looking forward to Music Player Live.

I understand that there are multiple dates, and would love more info on the schedule so I can register. I started to do this on-line, but you have to fill out lots of forms before you get to see the registration options.

Can you Mighty Editors help us out?

Thanks
Tom

What he said.

I probably can't attend the whole thing, and any advance info about what's going on when would be a great help.

BP Live was a great time last year, and you should be proud to have blazed a trail for the rest of the MP empire to follow.

Any chance y'all can get that Will Lee - Oz Noy - Anton Figg trio to play?!

Peace.

Hey guys,

Even though it's coming up on us pretty soon here, we're still finalizing the schedule, in terms of both artist performances and masterclass/workshops. Soon we'll have all that info up on musicplayerlive.com.

I had seen that there is an early-bird special, but without more details, I couldn't figure out what to do. I wrote a note to the person fielding the questions, and got some answers. Here are the notes:

I would like to register for MP Live. A few questions:

Is there a breakdown of time/events? I have to work Friday, so I'm trying to decide if I should pay for Friday or not?

What are the TI:ME sessions about? What is that?

What is the age for senior citizens?

Thanks
Tom

Hi Tom,

Great questions! We now have an early Bird Special where if you pay for a 3-day pass its $35 for regular attendee or $25 for senior citizens (age 65 or older), instead of individual days which would actually cost more since one day passes for regular attendees is $25 and senior citizen is $20.

TI:ME is the Technology Institute for Musical Educators. It is a conference with labs and presentations for educators to learn the latest and greatest for education music.

The artist schedule along with the clinics (which are mostly being held on Saturday and Sunday) and the program schedule is being finalized as we speak. In the next coming weeks we will post it on the website and as a registered attendee we will contact you will all the updates and news regarding Music Player Live!

Hope this helps and I look forward having you at our show.

Best regards,

OK - bought my ticket - I'm in.

Looking forward to seeing the editors, etc.

I'm glad you're not spending too much time setting the agenda - I'm looking forward to being surprised at the last minute

I was curious if there are any packages setup, like tickets and a hotel room, something to that effect?
Sounds like a great time, and I do not want to miss it.-Catlin

Likewise.

I'll only be at the event on Saturday this year. Can't make the concerts. Can't make the "happy hour" for bassists on Friday afternoon. \:\(

I'll try to catch up w/ the editors to say "hey".

Peace.

As I posted in the LDLD - How 'bout sending something out west? Preferably the Seattle area (bit of bias there).

Just wanted to let the editors know that I enjoyed my day at MP Live. I was only able to attend on Saturday and I regret that I was unable to catch up w/ any of the editors.

I did hang w/ several LDL forumites and that, as always, was a good thing.

Two points of critique:
1. It was tough, in my opinion, having the workshops so far (15th floor) from the exhibition area (2nd-5th floors?). Not impossible, but I preferred having the option to walk as we had last year at BP Live (from basement to mezzanine level -- 2 floor difference).

2. Some kind of coat check would be nice. I wore a jacket that I was able to roll up and drop in my MP Live tote bag (thanks!), so it wasn't so bad. However, given that it was a rainy day, having a place to dump it (other than through the hotel concierge) would have been nice.

Although at times I missed the bass-specific focus of last year's BP Live, I was able to explore some other areas of interest to me -- like home PC recording. I was also able to poke around some g****r stuff, which was useful now that my daughter plays. (Maybe I'll bring her next year!)

Peace.
