Singer: Hey, I'm really looking forward to getting together to jam tomorrow!
Drummer: Yeah, me too! Oh wait... tomorrow's Saturday. I just remembered I have a client coming in for a big sale. I won't know until later if I can make it by 2:00.
Singer: That's no problem, we'll just move the practice to later in the day.
Bassist: No we won't. I have to leave by 6:00 for plans I'd already made before you scheduled the afternoon practice.
Drummer: Well, I won't know how long it's going to be. But hopefully I'll know soon.
Singer: Well, we need to know now so everyone can plan ahead.
Drummer: Yeah, I'll get back to you.
I have 5:1 odds that we end up cancelling practice tomorrow entirely. The next day I'm available to practice? October 14. The joys of adults in bands!
