Well, hopefully you're not wishing you wrote the bass line to "Jump".
I wish I wrote amazingly complex prog rock ... but that the general public actually liked it.
And yes, Ted, I wish I wrote all the Beatles tunes, just so I could sit back in my old age and collect the royalties. (Or I could be MJ and just buy them all.)
Seriously, though, this is a tough question. Music-wise I guess I'd go for "No Quarter" or "Black Dog". Um ... "Roundabout" (Yes). "Kings and Queens" (Aerosmith). "Trees" (Rush). "Bye Bye Love" (Everly Brothers). "Unchained Melody" (The Righteous Brothers). "I Heard It through the Grapevine" (Whitfield/Strong). "In Walked Bud" (Thelonious Monk). "Satin Doll" (Ellington/Strayhorn). "Do You Know What It Means (To Miss New Orleans)" (Louis Armstrong). "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Goodnight" (Elliot Del Borgo). "Appalachian Spring" (Aaron Copland). And maybe something by Brahms; oh let's say opus #12 ("Ave Maria").
