As some of you know I didn't really take the HBC too seriously, until some time ago. From that point onwards rehearsals have drastically improved (which is a good thing).

One side-effect of our more frequent rehearsal schedule is that we have realised what our strong points are. And somewhat to our own amazement (and amusement \:D ) we found that our country-based songs work best.

So now we're looking to move into that direction, and add some vintage rock'n'roll (arpeggio-heaven for me ;\) ) for good measure. We did decide to keep part of the old set list, and use it to close the set (which we haven't quite finished yet) or to use them as encores.

Anyone else had a similar (not necessarily country) experience?

Well Eddie if you got the guitar player for it and your walkin that bass line like some rockabilly songs ,You could easily jump into some swing. Maybe some Brian Setzer .
