1. Do your band members each transport your gear to gigs separately, or do you have a van/truck in which all your gear gets carted around?
2. Does your band hook up before a gig at a central location, or do you all meet at the venue?
Inquiring minds want to know!

For my current (church) gig, we each transport separately. It's about a 3 mile drive for me. Large secure parking, daytime gig, pull-up unloading (about a 50-foot walk): no worries.
Although I can fit most of my gear in my beater car -- a '97 Breeze (compact) with 125k miles -- it's a lot easier to load the 4x10 cab into the back of my '04 Monterrey (minivan). (Besides, the van keeps my rump warm on cold winter days with a heated seat. )
Just for chuckles, there is a bus route for this journey, except it doesn't run on Sundays (the day of the gig). The pickup point is about 1/2 mile from my house, and the dropoff is about 1/2 mile from the church. (The bus actually goes by the church but doesn't stop there.) Mass transit in Detroit suburbs ... gotta love it! (And they call it "SMART"! )

We all transport our own stuff individually unless there's significant travel involved, then we van-pool.

If it's local, we transport individually (1988 Bronco II for me). If it's more than 25 miles or so, we'll load everything up in the drummers trailer.

We usually pool up and get all our stuff in one car. It depends on the gig though, the city its in, the parking situation at the venue and all that.
Tonight me, the drummer, and the guitar player are meeting at the guitar players house, loading all the gear into my car because the parking sucks at the venue, and the singer lives up north and will be meeting us at the venue.

We've only been together less than a year ,and are gigs have not been more than 20 miles away.So we all drive with our gear and the Band Leader brings a trailer full of sound equipment ,cords and a drum stage. The nice thing is we don't have to tear apart our rehearsal sound gear or drums. We may carpool on gigs when they start getting farther away.

The What the...? van rawks.
Here's my response:
1. My singer has a trailer with all of our PA gear, of which there's way too much. I supposed it's better to be over-prepared than the reverse. For local giigs (within 10 miles, let's say) he usually arrives first, and we get there shortly thereafter to help unload PA cabinets, set up mics, and so on.
2. Each of us arrives in our own vehicle for local gigs, carrying our own instruments and amps as the case may be.
3. For gigs that are further out of town, we usually meet at my singer's house first, and then caravan down in as few vehicles as we can manage. If we can fit everything into the trailer, we'll sometimes all ride together in my singer's truck.

We're 5 piece with 3 pickup trucks and 2 minivans. 2 of the pickups have covers, and the owner of the third has a minivan he can use in bad weather.
Usually the Bass Player (Pickup w-no cover/minivan) and both guitar players (minivans both) will meet at the band's warehouse. I'll usually time it where I'm there too (Biggest Pickup with cover, keyboards) and we'll caravan to the gig. The drummer (small pickup) usually gets to the gig well after the rest of us, but with plenty of time to setup.
Now if we go out of town, that's a little different. We'll load as much as we can in my pickup (8-ft bed), the drummer will meet us and load his gear with someone else, and we'll take only 3 vehicles.
Occasionally, if they check with me first and the weather's nice, we'll load my gear, the PA, and the bass player and both guitarists gear into my pickup, and the bass player and guitar players will ride their Harley's to the gig.

It's 2 minivans here. I carry the instruments, cables, mics and stands, and the entire PA is carried in the other (our frontman's). We arrive together, as we do loadin and loadout together. The rest of the band arrives in their own vehicles, unless we are playing more than 25 miles away, in which case they carpool. Usually by the time they show up the PA is in place, and they can set up and sound check.
Fortunately our drummer is not a Neil Peart wannabe. He has a reasonable set, and it does not take up the entire van. My keyboards probably take up as much space as his drums do, both in the van and on stage.
