I haven't quite been able to get the cooperation of some of the powers that be to direct more traffic towards here, and based on the lack of interest, Brian and I have not really been putting our energies into the forum, as you might have noticed. But to get a fresh start in the new year, I am trying to get Music Player and EQ to do a couple of things, based on some ideas that I have, to start getting some of that traffic in here, as well as making it easier for readers of the magazine to find this place, rather than having to navigate through the forum menus. Keep your fingers crossed, and hopefully in 2007, we can get this place hopping again.
In the meantime, I'll try to post some new shootouts and/or some technique examples that might be helpful to y'all. - J.J.

Very good! I'd been away for a bit and came back to a ghost town since the Harming Central took Phil and Craig. Now that Craig's the editor, it would be nice to see him here a bit more, too.
We need a big mother's milk thread - maybe a shootout of the latest and greatest vs the oldest and most sought after.

Well, I have a KILLER interview w/ a legendary rockstar. He gave me 17 pages worth of material, and I know that they won't be able to run it all. I want them to give me an easy link that I can put in the article to get people in here to read what they didn't run.

I've made the suggestion a couple of times in the past that the magazine should be the starting point for articles, interviews, reviews...
...and then the subscribers are directed here, to the forums, for the "extended" details and follow-ups.
Give the magazine readers a reason to come to the forums...

Thanks again for all of your help and insight. I think that most people take a site like this for granted, which is unfortunate. If this kind of resource was available to me as a kid in back in Kansas, I don't think I could even sleep!
I hope that you find a publisher for your "Interview with a Rock Star". There's so much to be learned from artists and musicians whose sole meaning for life is music (not fame or fortune). And it's even more enlightening when it's someone who's music has touched millions of people and helped to shape a generation of how people respond, react and listen to music

Hey all,
We'll run more lightly edited articles (pieces that have only been touched to factual inaccuracies or glaring typos, as we can't justify running misinfomation anywhere) here and in the LTE forum.
Dealing with the limitations of print (in that we have a finite amount of space) we will always have to prioritize what information makes it in the pages--it's a necessary evil--but in order to help compensate for those sometimes unfortunate decisions we must make, we're willing to throw the unedited versions up for everyone's perusing pleasure.
J.J. approached me with this idea just a few weeks back, and I brought it to Craig not long after. He thinks it's worth a shot and so do I.
Feedback is good. Let us know what you want from us and, if it's a good and reasonable idea, we'll see what we can do.
