I cannot confirm their assertion per se, however, lithium grease is commonly used between a computer's processor and the heat dissipator or radiator that you attach to it. You can probably get the lithium grease in small amounts at an electronics store, as opposed to home depot, where they're sell you a big tube for your garage door opener or something. Good luck.

Awesome! A lithium grease thread! I was truly excited.
I prefer the OLD lithium from Scandinavia, but you can't get it anymore, and it sounds WAY better!

There was something about that "OLD Lithium sound" (or as I believe the original spelling to be: OLDE Lytheum) that you just don't hear anymore. I don't know if it's that the lithium trees are producing a different grade of lithium, or if it's just that people don't care anymore.
Remember that album "I'll Be Your Lithium Forever"? Classic. And you know that half the Hip Hop tunes out there wouldn't exist without samples from that album.
Don't get me started. It's the end of an era.

BTW, as per your original question, I'll let Frank Zappa answer it:
You don't need no fancy grease to get yourself some rump release.

Thanks,
