You're on a desert island, yet somehow have access to electricity and the ability to record music. You can only have two mics, one mic pre (with or w/o EQ) and one compressor.
Me? Neumann U47, Shure SM7, Daking 52270 and a Urei 1176LN.

I've been planning on a UA 2610...so I guess I'll go with that for the pre.
I really love my ADR F601-RS Super Dynamic Limiter...so that would do me fine.
A 57 would be good...or maybe a Senn 441... ...and I've been nothing but happy with my ADR CE...so why not.

This doesn't explain exactly, but...
A U67 and this dynamic Peavey mic I cannot live without.
This old rare mid-80's mic pre that came two in a box.
A Distressor and the JBL7110.

Of what I currently own?
I recently semi-retired from studio work. When I left my studio in Feb I took a Great River MP2NV, a Korby Convertible mic (with three of the capsules.... 251, 67M, and 47), a pair of Neumann KM 83i, a pair of Coles 4038, and a single Neumann KM 83. Oh, and two mic stands with booms.
Owing to the scope of subsequent projects that I have done since I left, I grabbed another Korby and a Neumann U-89, my custom built speaker attenuator box, a Cello amp, the Dunlavy SC IIIAs, and a pair of Mytek meters. I'll end up returning some of the mics, but the studio seems fine without the other stuff, so I'll hang on to it.
On the other side of the coin... er... mic.... I took ALL of the guitars and about half of the guitar amps.

Tough question... I'd probably opt for a ELA M251 (or an ELUX), an RE20, a 1272 or 1073 (I tend to use little or no EQ when tracking) and either an 1176 or a Distressor.

Umm....ok probably go with the U47 and C12. I figure if I'm on an island, I won't be needing the 57 to record the coconuts. Then again, I could probably use it to open coconuts hurl at small game. 1176 is pretty much a given. And I think I would take the 1073 for pre.

A Range or Daking preamp/EQ
Fairchild 670
mics are tough.. i might want one ribbon and one condenser but then it has to be a condenser I could use on EVERYTHING from guitars to snare to bass drum to vocals... can't stick a 47 in a bass drum and I'm not going to give up my other mic choice JUST for that...
so I guess I'd either take a Brauner VMa and an STC 4038
or
A U47 and a Gefell Um70s
I lean to the second choice, slightly.

That's easy, a Daking 52270 or a Neve 1073, a Purple Audio MC-76, a Royer 121 and a Tele 251. More importantly a Hap Jacob's 9'10" single fin and my $14 Harmony Acoustic guitar.

Of stuff I own, it would be a V76, a Soundelux U95S and an SM7, and an 1176LN Rev D. But since there's no EQ on the Telefunken I'd like to take a 1073 or Wunder PEQ.

Updated thoughts: I think I've said this before... a cute, pliant blonde (or redhead, or brunnette of the female persuasion.... I'm an equal opertunity lech...),a bottle of Patrons, a few limes, and my Santa Cruz.

The old joke is:
Q: What are four things a man needs on a desert island?
A: Water, food, quim and strange quim.
