I'd like to buy a CD printer that can print on CD media in color so I can make some small amounts of CDs that look good instead of writing on them with a marker.

I'd like to get a Mac compatable printer. Can anyone recommend a brand?

Thanks,

Joe

I'm not sure if they're Mac compatible, but the Epson R200 and R300 get a lot of nods around these parts... check out this thread for more info, and for some suggestions on how to prevent ink smear on printable CD's.

Songrytr has an Epson that we've used to do some custom CD printing and it worked very well for that. I'm thinking about picking one up myself. \:\)

Phil,

Thanks a lot. The R300 is exactly what I want and Mac compatable.

Yup... Sure does! <<<< Epson R200 Specs. From Epson\'s Web Site >>>>

I only suggest the R300 if you have a need for the memory stick reader sockets with a USB port on the fron, AND like to trip through the complex menu on the LCD display. The mechanical section is identical.

LightScribe ( http://www.lightscribe.com/ ) media is a bit expensive to be casually suggesting, yet.

LightScribe isn't capable of color printing either AFAIK... unless somethng new has been developed that I'm unaware of. \:\) But if they can get the cost of the media down and the printing speed up, it does look promising to me.

I've been using the R-300 for a while, and my mom has the 910 (? I think that's the right number..)

Either ome is really cheap, but the multiple ink cartridges in the 300 can get costly.
