so we bought this nice big old Otari MX-5050 to compliment our array of two MOTU 896HDs. Something to throw our final mixes into. but how to go from 16 XLR outputs two 2 XLR inputs? some kind of super cable? no.

i think i speak for everyone when i say that i am the smartest man alive, and that it is officially "over". let the summing begin.

we bought this nice big old Otari MX-5050 Cool... a IIb half track? I've got one of those old workhorses (it's in great shape ) and I really find it useful for a lot of different things. I've also got a MX-5050SD (early Otari 8 track; mine needs a new puck and a decent setup job) sitting in storage.

Congrats on the D2B too. Please let us know how the new setup works out for you.

I've got one, too... the over/under style. Got rid of the 8 track a long time ago though.
