Just wanted some opinions... Just got an RNP and when I went to hook it up I realized that the snake isn't long enough to hook it up where I have to rack it. Do you think that a couple short(3 foot long)high quality XLR mic cable extentions would create a significant loss in quality? I also have another option of moving the headphone amp but I'd have to get 4 trs 1/4 inch extentions - This option would be both more difficult and more expensive.

Let me know what you think.

I always avoid linking cables myself. but i doubt you would hear a difference. I just cant deal with it. \:\)

if you have to do one of the 2 i would extend the headphone amp

Thanks for the reply

Line level cables, usually snakes etc, can run for a few hundred feet and coupling a few to reach your gear, will be negligible...

The hadphone move sounds less complicated to me as well.

Cables are components and as the food chain is concerned, Hosa has been the blue collar entry level for sometime, then ProCo, Rapco, Quantum, Monster, Belden, etc, then high end...Canare and Mogami ...state of the art (IMHO) Zaolla which top out as prices go...
