Did any of you guys see & hear Chigaco & Earth wind & Fire performing on the Today Show this past friday? Man, I was so impressed with thier performance and the sound mixer was on point. They are touring together so I hope to see them soon.
Peace,
Dahoud

Two of my favorite bands, even though Chicago is sort of a ghost of its former self. Both still great acts.

Still, I sure wish I had the $$ to hire the horn section to play on some stuff...

Well, I tell you, their horn section always has kicked ass. And the team of Pankow, Parazaider, and Loughnane, at live shows, look like they're still having the time of their life. Didja notice that Matchbox 20 song a couple years ago...had that little horn break in it... sounded like the Chicago horns? Sort of an homage to Chicago. Chicago's guitar player actually posted here a couple of times (he may still lurk for all I know) and I asked him if that was the Chicago horn section, and he said no, but he was very aware of the fact that they were impersonating the Chicago horn style \:D

I loved both of those bands when I was in high school and each was at the top of their game... I wouldn't mind seeing either one of them, but IMO, Chicago is indeed a shadow of their former selves, and could never be the same without Terry Kath.
