so anyone have any miracle cures for direct buzz/pc interference? i just got a MBox for messing around with ideas at home. when i plug in a bass direct to the MBox i get the PC Laptop interface buzz... in my studio my preamps dont have this issue plus the room is bigger and the PC is nowhere near me or the preamp/audio interface...

So what does it take for a laptop, MBox, and bass to be buzz free & happy. the idea of this setup is simplicity. no external preamps or DI's. can it be done?

Does it get any better when the laptop is running on batteries instead of its AC power supply?

So... Did you solve the buzz issue? What did you do? It's always good to have some *remedies* for this kind of issue.

I've had to do the DI thing to solve most of the pickup issues. On a recent thread, someone mentioned using a wrist strap and a wire the the pickup case.
