Anyone know of any software gates that have lots of useful parameters, like the hardware DRAWMER DS-201? I'll be surprized if it exists.

IF you mean frequency depenadant, there are tons of them, but why bother, just draw in a volume automation to accomodate each instance, rather than depend on a standard triggered setting. The end result will sound much more natural than any gate, hardware or software.

what DAW software are you using? the protools gate is fine for most of my needs. bluetubes gate is nice. the gate in the kjaerhus gac-1 is one of my favs.. very simple but amazing.. thats allot to say for a gate... floorfish is a good free one. never really liked the waves gate never really works as i want it to..

I like the Pro Tools one too, but Floorfish gets my vote... it's got a filter frequency trigger with listen.

Manual volume automation is the best though...
