I am relatively new to the project studio environment, in fact I am desgining mine at the moment, so I am lost on some subjects as you can imagine.
Here is my question: If I have a combination of digital and analog boards, what is the best setup for making sure everything can be connected in any situation? I will be using Avid Xpress Pro video editing software, and Nuendo 2 audio recording and post. I currently have a Behringer UB-2442FX and will be purchasing the new Steinberd ID when it arrives for the control surface. Avid pretty much works right from the DUal Monitors, but includes the MOJO box for conections of course, this will connect to JVC DV Video deck, and a Sony deck as well. JL Cooper will be the supplier for the jog wheel, and all of the other items I need for the video end, but have not selected all of what I will need yet. I have posted another topic on the G Massenburg forum asking for advice on equipment given my choice of Avid and Nuendo.
So as you can see I am out there trying to find out as much as I can to allow interconnection with relative ease and speed, now and in the future.
Help would dbe greatly appreciated...
