Hello! I just returned home with some 703 and 705 and I have a quick question. I was planning on combining two pieces of 2" 705 for the bass traps. However, I only recieved five pieces of 705 instead of the ten that I ordered. I will have some extra 703 though and I was wondering if it would be a good idea to combine a piece of 703 and 705 instead, and if so which side should be facing into the room? Thank you for any help.

The performance characteristics are based upon the thickness of the material, with 705 yielding better specs per inch of thickness. So I see no reason why the materials could not be combined, as long as the design that you choose accounts for the difference in performance, or you adjust your performance expectations.

This is totally a guess, but it is a reasonable one.
