Ethan,

I treated my room with semi-rigid fiberglass board covered but Suspect I have to make it thicker in the corners and will do so when I get back from vacation. Here is the issue so far.

My mixes are more balanced and the stereo Imaging is better at the mix position and this translates to balanced levels in the mix but the Bass is off...After referencing in various places plus my car, I basically have to cut the bass when mixing, to the point of it sounding really thin...I use the Waves PAZ Plug as a reference , lowcut around 100 and also shelve the bass in general...Sounds crappy to me..then when I listen back to the mix on other systems it doesn't sound bassy as much as it sound like a cardboard box has been thrown over the whole mix...It's a bit veiled...I would guess I have too much Mid absorbtion, or low mid absorbtion?? Also, I can't get the highs to sound right they are either not up enough or too brittle sounding....Sucks...Obviously I can get this right though trial and error and EQing till I get it right, but it's a long process..I would rather fix my room so the mixes translate better..My old bedroom was 100000 more accurate and it was untreated.

Sean,

Was there a question somewhere?

It's impossible to comment because you haven't given any information at all. How big is your room and what shape? What kind of speakers do you have? How do commercial CDs sound on the same system? And so forth.
