Hi,

There have been some good discussions on harmony vocals on this board recently...

I've been singing harmonies for a long time, but have never done much in the way of vocal exercises. I'm not experiencing any serious problems with my voice, but I feel I could benefit from a few minutes warming up before attemtping my parts.

Anyone have any tips?

The whole time we are loading in and setting up, I sing scales quietly, or sing along with the juke box (humming the bass line, or singing scales in whatever key the song is playing). Nothing obtrusive, but I keep it up for a good half hour or more.

Did you ever hear the open of Little Feat's "Waiting for Columbus"? That's the band doing their vocal warm up.
