I didn't read anything about this in any of the NAMM reviews, but Phonic had a one-page ad in the latest EQ talking about their new PA, here's a link to the speaker portion:
http://www.phonic.com/pressroom/latestnews/performer.html
Basically their full PA is all wireless. Set up the speakers, plug em into AC. Set up the mixer, plug it into AC. Set up the mics, attach a small transmitter plug to each. Everything else is wireless, no snake!
If they could combine this with the Axiom (sp?) personal mixer system, they'd just about have my dream PA. Ah, toys toys toys... ;\)

Phonic is going to kick some serious ass in this type of PA system.
I have one of their mixers & it's nice and quiet with decent pres.
I also had a chance to do a quicky listen to one of their power mixers and loudspeakers. Sounded very good and it was loaded with features and power.

They are/were OEM manufacturers for quite a few companies, including Yamaha.

Was reminded of one of BOSE's new products aimed at small indoor venues...a plug and play sorta system..something like the stage amps themselves are the PA and they kinda handle the venue, eliminating the need for a complex PA system...

anyone got to use it..??

Lee here has been using it for sa long time now. I'm sure that she will chime in as to how well or poorly it works, but from her descriptions it seems like 'love' to the rest of us! \:D

Long time no talk/ see, Botch!

With this PA, you had better hope that another transmission doesn't overwhelm the "conversation" between the bits and pieces. Imagine having a teenage kid's "Oh-my-GOSH! No WAY!" thunder over those speakers at 100+ dB SPLA. \:D

(Although, with the advent of cell phones, and the relatively unlikely chance for a 16 year old with a cordless landline to be in close proximity to the places Puddlestone plays, I suppose this fear is unwarranted. It could be funny at a band practice, though.)

Hey Danny! Yeah, I just got an email from Wayne in the Netherlands, he's itching to get back & play again too (I'm unfortunately leaving for Texas tomorrow, won't be back until the 9th of April).

I was wondering too just how many wireless connections you can have before outside sources started intruding, but that technology seems to be getting better and better.

There is a whole thread devoted to this not too far back.
