Dear Mr. Kooper,
I am a Sony Music Philippines recording artist and I am currently residing in California. I spoke to several Immigration Lawyers and they all told me that based on my achievements in the Philippines, I am qualified for an "O Visa" which pertains to artists with special abilities. However, I would need a sponsor who is willing to hire me in order to avail of this visa and work here legally. I am legally allowed to stay here until June of this year but if I can find a sponsor then I can work here. Would you know of any agents or organizations that can help in this regard? Thank you very much.
SONY is a world-wide company, as you know. They have a large office in Los Angeles. Have your representative make known to SONY-Phillipines your plight and ask them to contact the correct person at SONY-CA to assist you in cutting corners. Record companies are notorious for knowing how to bend the rules when their artists are concerned
