I'm probably putting myself in line to bite off way more than I can chew, but...

I'm looking for tips on how to organize a small (but could be a bit bigger) tribute festival. Venue and act booking, securing sponsorship, promotion, estimated financial outlay...what kind of legal roadblocks and traps to watch out for, what not to do, charity vs. for-profit, that kind of thing...
