I need a high end audio I/O solution for my new laptop. Although it'd be nice to have a synth-onboard too, that's not really
necessary for my purposes. All I want to do (at the moment) is to run ACID live on stage with my band.

Multiple outs would be great too.
I'm going to be running a Dell Inspiron notebook.

However, I am jealous that they dont make ACID for Mac - those bastards

a friend of mine just bought a cool new USB audio interface called "swissonic" for around $600 http://www.swissonic.com/

he hooked it to his stock imac and it works with digital performer 2.7. apparently it is compatiple with windows audio apps as well.

I would check out event's new "ez bus". 24/96 usb audio mixer/interface. You can get the specs by going to http://www.event1.com
