Hello everyone. I just found these forums, and am posting a song I wrote with others online at kompoz.com (full disclosure: I'm an employee at Kompoz). I wrote the lyrics, played rhythm guitar, and did the arrangement. A guy in Sweden did the bass, Karl in OH did the vocals, John in Kansas did the drums, Jay in OH did keys, and Tom in Miami did the rippin solo in the middle. All the individual tracks are here:

http://www.kompoz.com/compose-collaborate/list.track.project?projectId=3612

Anyone want to add to it?

Pretty amateur admittedly, especially after listening to what you guys have posted, but I wanted to post something original, although I'd classify it more as noodling than an actual song...

Here's an attempt at Donna Lee with just bass & drums on the backing track.

Been a while since I posted here... forgot my old user name.

Anyway, here's a slow blues improv. Just keeping it simple on this track.

Take Your Time

Let me know what you think...

Pretty cool Nat. Nice mixes. I like the way the sparse arrangements let you use really big bold sounds.

Check out some of my page when you have a chance.

Some stuff that i record with a $40 usb cable. So the quality is Horrible but please bare with it. The actual guitar work is not the best either. My method is to improvise most of it as I record. It's more feeling then planning. So there are mistakes but once again, please bare with it. But enjoy, and please leave feedback. I could use it!

Actually put a real song together (2 in fact), pretty amateurish, and the guitar work is glaringly simple, very basic, but you have to start somewhere!

Hi Everybody,
I have been doing a lot of programing and experimenting with the new Roland VG-99 and have been finding some great new sounds with in it.
I posted some of my fun samples of the Roland VG-99.
Its cool as the unit uses your actual guitar string as its sound source or oscillator.
This is NOT a synthesizer, it is a guitar!
I have nothing to sell, I am a studio musician and I wanted to share with the group the sonic possibilities of the electronic guitar.
We are so lucky to be guitarist in this digital age.
We have unlimited choices in how we want to sound.

Thanks
Bill Ruppert

For more info there are some very good groups dedicated to this unit

Hey nice sounds Dave. There is a program from WVKR, Vassar College radio called `Secret Music`, Scott Raymond is a cool dude and he accepts CDs from all kinds of new age/ambient/mood music artists. I even have one or two pieces of my own in a related style. Like it mon, let`s hear more.

Pulled straight off the board from our show this past Sat. There's a couple of sour notes on this song, but overall the whole show went pretty good. There will be more music and some video up on the site within the next week or two.

Hey Y'all.

another newbie here....

I'd thought i'd kick off my board membership with the obligatory "here is my music thread"

I lvoe the guitar so as you'd expect most of the music i produce has allot of guitar on it.

Anyway - My debut record is streaming at my website:

and will be out on itunes etc for sale in the near future thanks to Tunecore.

anyway, I'd love to hear what other guitar fans think of my little record...

or just pop me a message to say hi.

Cheers
Tom
