Our band Constantine has just recently released it's third demo titled "Divida et Impera". We are from Jyväskylä, Finland and we play melodic heavy metal with progressive influences. We have been playing since August 2006 and the band members are 17-20 years old.

The EP consists of three tracks and is approximately 25 minutes long. You can listen and download all the songs from our site in http://www.mikseri.net/constantine

The recordings took place in a somewhat decent studio, so I don't know about all the equipment used, but all the guitars were played through Mesa/Boogie Single Rectifier amp.

If you have time, please comment the songs, we would really appreciate it!

Thanks a lot benny & stamplicker . Unfortunately, that room is the only place I play. One of these days I'm going to do something about that background \:D

Something a bit different from me....a friend made this famous Jazz standard on a Rhodes piano through some nice effect and I added my self assembled Strat afterwards...it wasn't planned but it turned out that we both like it.

So here it is!

Alright, this is something I just recorded. It's not a complete song or anything but I think it could be a cool intro. I recorded the lower riff first. It will be played on a bass in the final version. The beat is a 7 beat. It just kinda happened when I was trying out different bass lines. The higher part I recorded second and its a 4 beat. so we have a 4 beat playing over a 7. Tell me what you think.

My Music Page

It's the one labeled "Cool Intro" but feel free to listen to the other one. \:P
Again, keep in mind that these aren't finished.

Thanks

Thank you Paul. I've seen your stuff too, well, you are a real Jazz guitar player, very nice stuff, I'm more of a strat guy with rock background on the electric, giving my own interpretation. It can't be denied that the version by Jeff Beck had a certain influence, at least for the use of the tremolo arm at the beginning, but i wanted a cleaner saturation and definitely a neck sound, as sweet as possible but clear. This is the Guitar forum, but I'd like to point how great is also the Rhodes piano part...it was a standalone thing, on a loose timing, very oniric...I loved it so much that I had to play on it.

I haven't logged on in forever but am now able to spend a little time back on the forums. Give a listen to some of our tunes on our myspace page... http://www.myspace.com/rustywrightblues
Check out Hell on My Heels for some really rippin' guitar work... that's my husband Rusty Wright doing all the lead work.

...I'm just the rhythm player a vocalist in the band.

Hey guys! Been away for a bit with the birth of my second daughter 3 weeks ago and my life has been in chaos ever since!

I wanted to post this tune up and see what you guys think. I am working with some other musicians now and what Brian did to this track blew me away. I did this tune a year ago and never did anything with it. I pulled it out of the archives and Brian worked some magic on it. Props to him for the martin back packer on the intro and outro, keys, drums and some backing vocals.

The below page has the original demo and the new version.
Thanks for listening!

Hi! Here`s 2 tracks from my new album. I`d be very glad for comments.

Spiral

She`s The One For Me

The guitars are a Gibson Les Paul Custom, a Fender Eric Johnson Strat and a Parker Southern Nitefly
The amp is a Diezel Herbert with a 2x12 Bogner cab

The music is some kind of alternative rock i guess...

Welcome back, Michael! I like the sweet heavy lead over that funky reggae piece!

Very nice! great textures between your guitar and the Rhodes! Really sweet melodies, too.

I didn't know what to make of this. I know it's only a segment... Maybe when it's part of a full song but now it only caught me ear for a second and then I wanted it to move on. Interesting idea. I like listening to the poly-rhythms created when playing one time signature over another.

Note to everyone, don't post any of your music here that is not copywritten. There are record execs and even musicians in the business that are theives and will steal your music in a heartbeat. So if you have posted stuff that isn't copywritten, I'd relocate your music files to another location. I've already seen this happen to a friend of mine. Isn't it nice when a big star or publishing company, or record company gets paid for something you wrote and recorded and you get nothing for it.. Look out for them folks

Michael, yes I loved the guitar solo on the reggae track, great rhythmic feel and lovely tone.

Alfonso, dig the intro - I love Rhodes! It sounds like you listened a lot to the Jeff Beck version but you added your own thing too. I'd like to add bass to that track sometime - although it works great as a duo!

Arney, liked it. I heard an African influence in the way the guitar parts fit together, a lot of noise on the recording but neat idea.

Phil W - oh yeah! ;\)

Dazed, couldn't get it to play, sorry!

Nemo - not my cup of tea but neatly done, the solo on Spiral took me by surprise - nice!
No, listening to the other track, it very much is my cup of tea, I got a wrong impression from the opening bars of Spiral - I like the way you guys sound together.

Laurie/Rusty - nodding my head to your stuff, the guitar arrangements are very well done. You guys must be great live!

BillyBob - thanks, worth saying!

Thanks Phil. My guess is you do not have the m3u extension set to open with a player. Here is an mp3 if you are willing to try again.

Thanks, I liked the contrasting sections with the quiet acoustic and the keyboards sound near the end of the song.

EXTREMELY good point. A longtime concern of mine, even with sites like soundclick.
