Here are a few more from my band. "One Legged Chicken" has been on there for a while, but the other two are new to our soundclick page. Apologies for the crappy sound quality, I pulled these two off of an 8mm video tape, we haven't had the opportunity to properly record for some time now, but hopefully that will be taken care of soon.

Not much guitar in this, but i play what you do hear. rest are vst instruments. The song may come off as a little racist, but i hoped the title of the song would help clear that up. I had started editing the speech before i knew what it was actually about but i tried to make it come off more political than what it was. Either way i dont agree with what the dude is saying.

New to recording (I bought a Korg 1200 and a Micro BR) and trying on as many styles as I can think of. I have been in various bar bands for years.. but years ago now. Turning to recording for the learning process. It's great for ear training. Man this is so fun, I'm not getting any work done.

Having been a regular guitar player all my life I am not all that MIDI knowledgeable....just enough to get in trouble. I want to get a small controller to mess with parameters on soft synth stuff recorded into the sequencer, after the fact.
Anyway...I was putzing around and came up with this short piece tonite....more demented stuff..ran the guitar and fretless bass through some super noisy lo fi plug ins etc just trying to mess stuff up over a Stylus loop and two synth guitar tracks.

Hey Paul, thanks man, I was getting around to writing to you that I like your stuff a lot, the most recent Jobim song video was great...you look so relaxed winding your way through all those changes...you make it look easy. Nice playing.
Well the orchestral stuff I am writing ( or attempting to write LOL ) in Sibelius notation software and I am using Garritan Personal Orchestra for the samples. It is a very good library for a very inexpensive price.
The guitar is just an inexpensive Godin with Ghost Modular piezo pickups on it through an Axon converter and then the synths are all in the computer some in Pro Tools and also one called Atmosphere.
I have had this stuff for a while but am only now getting around to trying to learn it better and to try to get to understand MIDI. It is a hard road for me...plus...at the same time I am trying to become a better writer and learn arranging and orchestrating.
I think I am biting off more than I can chew, but what else am I to do LOL?
Here is another thing I did today.
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=452567&content=songinfo&songID=6046211
It is 3 different things I just pasted together so I did not have to input 3 different mp3's into Soundclick LOL.....a short string piece into a synth barrenscape and into an orchestral hit section in 7/4.
The two orchestral cues I wrote today and some of the synth I did today layered over another piece I forget doing.....LOL....I stumbled on the file and was like...when did I do this.....the long drony low thing.

Lister, I agree with Trucks, that was scary. It would make an excellent soundtrack!
Here's one I did this morning with my little GR33/GK2A synth setup:

Cool Lister, awesome music. Sounds like it would rock for a video game or film. That rocks pretty hard.
Something like Bladerunner where it is building a sci fi wierd atmosphere

Thanks a lot Bruce & Lister! I drilled 2 small holes for the GK2A. I really wish I hadn't because now they've got the GK3A that fits into the bgidge posts.

A very dear friend of mine passed away few months ago. I found this track that we recorded in a common room with open windows a sunny afternoon in Naples, I think July 1999...
He's playing the classical guitar arpeggio, I'm improvising a melodic line on my Ovation Elite after the first downstrum....then we added some AN1x synth.
The sensation this track gives to me now can't be described, but you can imagine....It was such a nice afternoon at his place....

alfonso, I'm really sorry to hear about your friend. The image of two friends playing in an open, airy room on a sunny day come through very vividly in the music. This is a very beautiful, soothing piece and hopefully brings good memories to you.

New tuneage......done in Pro Tools using Stylus RMX for the percussion and drum loops....various soft synths....I tracked in 6 guitar tracks simultaneously.....well, 3 stereo tracks really, on the Godin....direct through the POD, a stereo send from the Axon and a stereo send to the soft synth.
I used the Godin for the funky part through the POD and using the Line 6 FloorBoard for the Wah...and the Fender Fretless J-Bass.
I tried avoiding recording all the 9 MIDI tracks of drums and percussion into audio tracks and edited by automating the fades and mutes on the actual MIDI tracks.......I will never do that again it was a nightmare. Plus one of my softsynths is not playing nice with Pro Tools.......it caused at least 10 freezes which resulted in force quits and lost edit info.
I have been on this sucker since 8pm last night...I have had 4 hours sleep.....LOL so I have no idea what this is...other than a funky groove using the Lydian Auxilliary Diminished Blues Scale almost entirely, a little Lydian Auxilliary Augmented. George Russell's names for the Half/Whole scale and Whole Tone scale....LOL!!
I am loopy......drum loopy and tired loopy....LOL.....
The tune is REALLY outside....sorry about that, it is more an exercise in fun for me than anything else.
Spynil Feuzin'
It is long, 6:55.....sorry.

Thank you all, I really appreciate it.
Lee the MIDI guitar thing is a lot of fun...frustrating at times but a lot of fun when it is working well. Might I suggest the Roland setup if you do not want to outlay a lot. The G1-20 is supposed to be really good...easy to use and set up and it works well with the GK-3 pickup which I think is around $250. You could see if one is available used.It has no sounds though so you would have to trigger a hardawre or soft synth of some type.
I didn't know you had a Pocket POD...it broke??? What happened? Should I be worried the same will happen to mine LOL?

TZ , I absolutely had listened to your track right after you posted it and I thought I had replied....in fact I know I replied and wrote a post.....somehow I must have not hit send....not unusual, with the kids and all and the holidays I keep getting called to do stuff and I get distracted and ....well......anyway, I thought I had replied sorry.
Anyway, yes....nice sounding composition and I really like the sounds and they way you have it all setup. I can also do that, divide my guitar up so I can trigger different sounds on different strings, fret ranges, picking ranges etc etc....but I did not get into that yet. It seems so complicated to me, I am afraid I will not be able to remember what sound is where and screw up LOL.
You have it DOWN though.....nice work!! I an impressed also especially with the fact you go to tape....you get a good sound.

Every so often I just have to work off some frustration by turning up the earphones LOUD and letting 'er rip. Jammin125 was one of those. I found a drum track on my Micro BR recorder that, with the right digital delay, got me going. It's my Yamaki acoustic thru the Micro Texas blues fx. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=656980
