Has anyone else tried this pedal yet? I just picked one up this weekend, and I'm totally floored. It's advertised as an overdrive, but it's really a distortion pedal. I played several pedals including some Fulltones and I preferred this one over them all. Plus, it's only about $120, which is a steal. You can go from a nice semi-distorted sound to balls-to-the-wall AC/DC tone. Freakin' awesome! For more info check out: http://www.visualsound.net/JHpage.html.

I've had mine for about a year and I really like it. It's not the holy grail but it's a damn good pedal. You can get the tubescreamer thing or the Marshall stack simulation and then mix the two if you like.

It seemed to work better live than in the studio. Live it's very versatile. Mellow overdrive or ridiculous distortion. In the studio where I had every single guitar tone under a microscope I found that it had a bit too much compression. The TS-9 was actually more natural sounding and organic so I used that.

But live it wails. It's like adding two channels to your amp.

I know of a guitar shop in Grand Rapids, MI where everyone of the guitar playing employees is using that pedal. The guy I primarily deal with has a $2500 Boogie that he strictly uses clean. All of his dirty sound comes from the JH. It really sparked my interest in trying the pedal (all though I have yet to do it) knowing that the whole shop was using it.
