I'll admit it, I watch Bitney's videos! I mute the sound because the sound she makes when she opens her mouth scares my cats, but I will watch...

Sure, now that trem can go up and down. Now does anybody have a way to keep it from throwing the whole guitar (or most of it) out of tune? Ahhhhh, I guess not. Such is life with a Strat.

Yeah, I took the trem bar off both my strats, put on all five springs so the bridge would sit flush against the body. Just the way I like it, and tuning stability soars through the "stratosphere"......I crack myself up!

It really shouldn't throw the guitar out of tune. I used to beat the hell out of the bar and rarely had tuning problems. There might be a technique issue here - if all you're doing is a divebomb w/o a compensatory 'shake' of the bar, it could happen.

I guess I should have been more clear ... How do you treat a Strat trem like a Floyd Rose and still have it stay in tune! But really, I don't know many who who abuse the trem like that anymore, so it's not really an issue. (Unless you're in a glam metal cover band) If I treat my Strat trem nice and use it like it was intended, it stays in tune just fine.

Didn't Emile just post "Oooooooh such tension here. You might want to adjust that trust rod and try a lighter gage. "

Hmmm. Tension. Hmmm.... "adjusting the truss rod" Hmmm.
