Sorry, Duke, not familiar with the Houston area...although I did see Waylon, Emmylou, and Don Williams at the Summit years ago. Waylon was okay...Emmylou and Don are two of my all time faves...

The Guitar Center on Westmoreland is probably your largest. Lots of others of course but they seem to keep the lots of stock. Sales reps may or may not know more than what a guitar looks like however.

Hey I really like a little shop called Sand Mountain music
Downtown Houston on Yale ave. Real players that specialize in great
Playing instruments and obscure pedals, check em out
Then go across the street and grab something to eat at the Wagonwheel
I think thats the Name .
