My personal favorite stinky song is "I Found A Girl in my Shower Stall", which you can hear here...
http://www.incorrectmusic.com/audio/

However, I'd rather listen to any song on the aforementioned page than to hear "The Rose" by Conway Twitty.

Well you old codger it maketh me glad to hear it... I got approached by a well known label the other day to ask if i would produce a new boy band .... I took my heart and my wallet in both hands and said NO!!!! To tell the truth I just couldn't deal with it and I know it is gonna cost me big time but hell the thought of no talent and a lot of autotune kinda focusses the mind right??? I hope my bank manager agrees.... hahahahah!!!

I can't beleive no one has mentioned Creed yet. I'm sure this wont be a popular sentiment, but the first song I thought of when I saw this topic was Eric Clapton's, Tears In Heaven (or whatever it's called) one of the worst songs by one of the biggest wankers of all time.

Hmmm... how could you say that about a song written about the man's toddler son freakishly running out of his skyscraper apartment window? That's a very emotional song. Maybe you're tired of it... but if you comprehend how it was written, it can't go on the puke list. That song is consistently rated as one of the most touching songs ever written. Not one of my faves, mind you , but every time I hear it, my heart aches for him. JMHO.

I was working at a radio station in Anchorage as the weekend afternoon guy. A girl called up and requested "Tears". Then she proceeded to tell me that her father had just passed away. I played "Tears" without introducing or back announcing it...I couldn't talk. I had to be mopped up off the floor.

Guess it just depends on where you're coming from...

I for one can't imagine how E.C. ever was able to sing that song. I love all my kids, but my 5 year old makes every minute worth the while.I couldn't do it in a thousand takes.....

You have no idea how ironic this comment is. The song, "Without You" was made a hit by Harry Nillson. But it was written by Hamm and Evans, two members of Badfinger, who, by the way, each committed suicide....

I have a rock guitarist friend whose 17 year old daughter was killed recently in a car wreck. I was recently in attendance at a concert where he was working the sound. The band played Tears In Heaven. He had to leave the room. Such is the power of music.

Harry Nilsson is dead as well.

And, the story about the 17 year old daughter killed in a car wreck hits closer to home than you can imagine.

Can we make this a happier thread? Let's talk about the Osmond Brothers some more, or

"We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun"...ULP...ULP...ULP..."Oh tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree" ULP...ULP...ULP...ULP..."She's havin' my baby"...ULP...ULP...ULP...BLEAACHCHCCHCHGHGHGSPLATT!

I am a major Yes fan, and can not disagree with you on this point. Not one of their better songs. However, the intro to I've Seen All Good People is a little acoustic number called Your Move that would easily fit on the most beautiful song thread.
As Nigel said, "There is such a fine line between Clever and.....Stupid"!!!

Hey Lee! You might say d. Gauss has a magnetic personality! Hahahahaha!
(I kill me..)

Believe it or not, someone else did a dance version of American Pie that we had on a video at Mars. I was able to tune out just about everything, even though the PA was overhead in my dept. Not that song. What a shame. If Don McClean (?) wasn't laughing all the way to the bank I'd be upset he didn't speak out against that garbage.
