I'm in Pro Tools audio folder Hell!

I created a template for a tracking session. Then I saved it under the song's name. I did this procedure three times for three separarte session - only to find later that there was only one audio file for three separate session. I assume all my audio files are in that folder. What is the easiest way to separate them out into folders that correspond the the correct song.

I think I know now what happened. After renamimg my template, I should have created a whole new folder. On the other hand, when I renamed the Template, why didn't it create a new audio file?

Also, when one creates a template (using the stationary pad technique) why does the Mac create an immediate copy of that icon.

Thanks, Dennis

Probably the best and safest bet, as well as the most time/drive consuming, would be to open each session and under the file menu "save session copy as" for each session title. this will make exact copies of all audio files and session data. Then open each session and delete what audio files/session data that you don't need.

As far as templates, I don't use them, but I'm sure someone around here will be able to help.
