Recently I ordered a new microhone. I assumed that when it came, it would screw right on to my mic stands like all the other ones. Wrong. The threaded female connection on this Nady ribbon mic is too large, just barely, to attach to the mic stand. I have seen smaller connectors (someone told me they were "european") but this one is larger than the average one. I have envisioned myself asking about this at the local Guitar Center. The GC employee in my vision got a very confused look on his face and told me to contact Nady.
This must be a normal situation, surely my mic is not the only one in the world with a connector this size. Are there adapters? And if so, what are they called? I wish to appear to be "in the know" when I try to find one.
