My name is Kevin Cupit and I am currently working with a disaster relief organization in the southeastern Louisiana area. The name of my group is Radio Response (www.radioresponse.org)

I've lived in Colorado the past nine years, but I am originally from New Orleans. I am also a musician/home studio engineer.

I think that we, as musicians, owe a great deal to the City of New Orleans. It has been a staple of inspiration for every type of music from Jazz to Thrash Metal. I could go on and on about why this city and it's inhabitants are so important to the music community.

Here's a snippet from an email we recieved this morning. this should explain things a bit:

----------------------------------
Hey Guys,
What's up? Strange question out of the blue, but I've
been working with the Jazz Foundation trying to get
replacement instruments for musicians who were wiped
out by Katrina. Any suggestions of where to look for
this kind of gear:

"My most desperate concerns are a LAYLA rack I/O by
Echo Audio (I have the card part in my PC but the rack
is gone) or any used I/O rack or desktop unit. A
pre-amp (if not included with the i/o unit), MONITORS
or headphones (Desperate for these) and a power amp to
push the monitors."

Evidently this gentleman ran a home studio that
recorded a lot of local bands. Now he's concerned
about their masters. If you've got a notion about who
to hit up, let me know. Be well,

Joe
